TRADESHOW MANAGEMENT
HortiContact Booth for Current Lighting
Having gone through several re-brands in a short period, the company wanted to make a bold statement with its latest iteration, returning to its roots in General Electric. To achieve this, we secured the prime stand at the entrance of the HortiContact show, ensuring visibility for every attendee.
The stand’s clean, modern, and minimalist design, open on three sides, was chosen to create a sense of transparency and reset brand messaging. Brand hierarchy was carefully balanced to convey that the company is Current Lighting, while proudly retaining GE’s technology heritage.
Despite the stand’s compact 30m² space, we showcased the full product range, highlighted key customer references, and integrated an 85” screen for dynamic messaging that brought the stand to life.
SOCIALS
Bloemteknik Socials
lumen8 manages all of Bloemteknik’s social media channels. Since the brand’s launch in June 2024, its LinkedIn page has consistently seen the highest follower growth among competitors. In collaboration with Bloem, we’ve developed key ‘content pillars’ to ensure regular coverage of essential topics across all platforms. Our goal is to create a dynamic, engaging social media presence where greenhouse and vertical farm growers can gain valuable insights on optimizing crop production through lighting solutions.
We align each month’s content through post proposals, which are finalized after client feedback. There’s also flexibility for ad hoc posts and revisions throughout the month. High-performing posts are often boosted to reach a broader audience through hypertargeted strategies, based on specific prospect lists. This approach avoids generic LinkedIn targeting, which can inflate audience size with irrelevant prospects, leading to higher costs, misleading metrics, and lower ROI.
HPNow Socials
lumen8 collaborates with Bumbleberry Marketing to manage HPNow’s social media channels. While Bumbleberry Marketing creates the written content, lumen8 is responsible for developing the accompanying visuals. As with our other clients, we work with various ‘content pillars’ addressing different market segments, including posts on events, press releases, and educational content published by the company.
BRANDING
Re-Branding HPNow
HPNow, an innovator in water treatment, offers onsite, plug-and-play hydrogen peroxide generators that eliminate the need to transport large quantities of chemicals to greenhouses. They sought a modern brand identity that would reflect the innovative nature of their solution and its key benefits—cost savings, operational simplicity, and enhanced sustainability for growers.
As a team of scientists and engineers disrupting a mature market, we selected a color palette of deep and light blues to represent the high-tech nature of their technology and the purity of the water it produces. A soft green accent was incorporated to highlight the sustainability gains growers can achieve with HPNow’s solution.
The rebrand encompassed logo design, typography, color palette development, and the creation of a unified visual identity applied consistently across all company materials.
WEB DESIGN / DEVELOPMENT
Website Development for Bloemteknik
The Bloemteknik website was built from the ground up in close collaboration with the client, focusing on visual direction, messaging, and data organization. Given that Bloem operates in a highly saturated and commoditized market, we prioritized making the core message of ‘bespoke lighting solutions’ clear and consistent throughout the site. This focus on differentiation was essential in an industry where companies frequently rise and fall.
We also aimed to address all potential questions about customization upfront, building a sense of security and trust in the technology for site visitors. Though Bloem is a new company, it was founded by industry veterans, so we balanced a fresh, modern design with extensive technical content to demonstrate the expertise behind the brand.
Brand Touch-Up for Bloemteknik
Bloemteknik is a horticulture lighting company specializing in bespoke lighting configurations tailored to each grower’s specific needs. While many lighting companies offer some degree of customization, Bloemteknik’s fully personalized approach stands out in the oversaturated horticultural lighting market. With an existing logo and color palette as a foundation, we refined and enhanced these elements, incorporating a recurring ‘building blocks’ motif to symbolize their core competitive advantage of modularity / customizability. Our design focused on creating a modern, distinct look that set Bloemteknik apart from other manufacturers.
We placed significant emphasis on content and messaging, ensuring the company’s key value proposition was clearly communicated across all marketing touchpoints. Following this rebrand, we implemented the new visual identity across Bloemteknik’s website, videos, print materials, and more.

Sion Young Plants Video
Sion Young Plants, a renowned Dutch grower of young phalaenopsis plants, had recently equipped part of their greenhouse complex with the latest fixtures from Current Lighting (GE), introducing modularity to the horticultural lighting market. The video we produced needed to highlight three key aspects: a) the scale of the operation, captured through extensive drone footage and wide interior shots of the greenhouse, b) prominent focus on the innovative lighting system, and c) the beauty of the orchid plants thriving under these lights.
The final video was showcased at the HortiContact tradeshow and used across other marketing initiatives for Current Lighting (GE).

Product Video for an LED Grow Light
The goal of this product launch video was to present the unique benefits of this LED grow light in a compact and engaging format. Unlike typical lighting manufacturers who focus on customer testimonials, we opted for a product-focused video. This was essential because the fixture introduces new features to a commoditized market, such as modularity and a tilt function, which offer significant advantages to growers.
The standout benefit is the tilt feature, which, combined with superior optics, enables growers to distribute light evenly across the plant canopy—both horizontally and vertically—ensuring no photon loss. Even a 1% increase in photon efficiency can result in a 1% yield improvement, a potential game-changer for growers. The video aimed to capture these benefits while maintaining visual engagement.
HYPERTARGETED LINKEDIN CAMPAIGNS, VIDEOGRAPHY, SOCIALS, PRINT MATERIALS DESIGN
Marketing Campaign for the Align Platform
Bloemteknik’s Align Platform is an LED fixture for vertical farms that stands out from existing solutions by being highly customizable to meet specific cultivation goals, crop requirements, and farm parameters the growers have. This tailored approach allows growers to optimize both crop production and the overall cost of ownership of their lighting system. With customization being a unique offering in the market, we executed a comprehensive marketing push, including a product launch video/animation, a hypertargeted LinkedIn campaign, print materials, social media content, press releases and blog content.
The bar-shaped lighting fixture promises to help growers optimize their cultivation, inspiring the ‘Raise the Bar’ tagline for the product and campaign. The visuals built on the existing Bloemteknik brand identity, emphasizing customization and cultivation optimization. We showcased how the fixture can be tailored in terms of length, optics, electrical infrastructure, spectrum, mounting, and more.
Our marketing work for Bloemteknik earned the Best Product Marketing award at the Vertical Farming Global Awards in Frankfurt, September 2024.

HPNow, a Danish innovator in the water treatment industry, is disrupting a mature market with its high-tech onsite peroxide generators. As a highly specialized and relatively young company, HPNow invests considerable effort in educating the market about their solution and promoting efficient, sustainable water treatment practices. Our goal was to create templates for HPNow’s diverse range of published materials that would strike a balance between modern, high-tech, and academic.
With the variety of content they produce, we aimed to design distinct yet cohesive templates that could serve as blueprints for all their communications. The goal was to position HPNow as a knowledge leader, standing out from competitors with a refined ‘expert’ look and feel.

The goal of the video was to showcase Valoya’s lights in action, creating an association with the production of premium leafy greens made possible by their lighting technology.
At the time of filming, the vertical farming industry was still in its early stages, and we aimed to capture the spirit of this nascent field through our choice of music and pacing of the video. Additional attention was given to the urban farming aspect, highlighting its service to local restaurants, which influenced the overall feeling of the video, selection of the shots etc.

Dubbed by the media as the world’s most renowned vertical farm, Growing Underground has been a pleasure to film. Located 33 meters below the surface of urban London, this farm grows leafy greens for local supermarkets in repurposed WW2 shelters.
The goal of the video was to highlight Valoya lights, which are essential for cultivating these greens. These lights not only help shorten the cultivation cycle but also contribute to the production of nutrient-dense plants. The video was the company’s first vertical farming testimonial, meant to spark wider interest in the industry.
